I am interested in any information regarding the Siemer family from Oldenburg.
Father- Eilert Heinrich Siemer b 12 Jun 1851
Mother - Adeline Catherine Kruise b 24 Feb 1857 in Immer.
Married in Ganderkesee 12 Jun 1879
Children born in Oldenburg:
Meta Johanna b 7 Aug 1880
Sophia Carolina b 27 Sept 1881
Hermann b 10 May 1883
Carl Heinrich b 16 Jan 1885
Meta Gesine b 18 Aug 1886
Berta Mathilde b 11 Jul 1889
Bernhard b 8 May 1891
Their remaining children were born after they immigrated in 1892:
Carl (“Charles”) b 12 May 1893 in Iowa
Emma Catherine b 3 Dec 1894 in Ellsworth, Nobles County, Minnesota
Lily Flora b 23 Apr 1896 in Ellsworth, Nobles County, Minnesota
Amanda Adeline b 21 Aug 1900 in Ellsworth, Nobles County, Minnesota
Alice Helena Agnes b 29 Apr 1902 in Ellsworth, Nobles County, Minnesota
I believe that Eilert Heinrich’s mother or perhaps grandmother also immigrated. In the Minnesota Territory Census of 1895, a “Jennie” (perhaps Jantje?) Siemer, age 94 is listed as with the family. The census data says she was born in 1800 in Oldenburg.
Any confirmation that the family originated in Oldenburg and further information on Eilert and Adeline’s parents would be appreciated. I am willing to share all the family information here in the US if there is any interest in following them.
Many thanks.
Kind regards,
