some information about the spread of bearer of the name Ellenberg in Germany. in
1995 there were about 195 telephon owner Ellenberg. They are mostly centered here
in my region of Uelzen and L�neburg on the south side of the river Elbe. So it`s
another thing as with the Seedorfs. Both coming up in the same region, the Ellen-
bergs stayed to an greater deal in their former home area.
with the Steep people it`s in spread almost the same, you find most of them in
L�neburg, Uelzen, but these also in Dannenberg area and up to B�ckeburg. Almost
none of the about 100 Steep in 1995 lives in a greater city as Berlin.
So it seems, there was a different mobility in Seedorf, Steep and Ellenberg
families as far they remained in Germany.
Then I had today a telephon call with Ellenbergs living here in my village Bie-
nenb�ttel. They too have Ellenbergs immigrated to USA. They live in Nevada and
will visit their Ellenbergs here in April or May. But they have immigrated from
Brockhimbergen, what is in the region too. Mrs. Ellenberg from Bienenb�ttel will
try to get the List of anchestors Ellenberg and family papers which someone in
D�sseldorf has as his own. But that may last a while, because these are in
holidays on Tenerife.
You`ll get it as far as I get it. Perhaps that will lead already back to your
people, saving your research time and money. We will see lateron.
