Research in hanover

Hello Gerald,

At first: are you sure that they were born in Hanover city or could it be that they were born in the Kingdom of Hanover / Province Hanover (like the most ancestors of my american clients)?

Do you know their religion? On Thursday I am in the archives of evangelic church records in Hanover and I can check the books of church records of Hanover city. This is not a time-consuming work, because these documents are assort alphabetical. I think Fred can be Friedrich with full name. Do you have more data of them? Where did they live in the USA? When did they died? Have you checked the US-census? Schroeder is not an uncommon name in Germany, but it is not as common as Mueller oder Meier/Meyer for example.

Greetings from Germany,

Monika (Moehring)

What do you do? I have 2 brothers from Hanover, this is all I know about their
famil location in Hanover. They are Fred and Wilhelm Schroeder and they came to
the USA and SE MN around 1897 to 1881. How can I find their home and how they
got to the USA?

Hello Monika,

Do you know if the church books for Gross Elbe and Klein Elbe are in
Hannover?

Thanks,

Bobbi
