Jacob Born in Prehn im Jahre 1754 geboren. Wo ist Prehn? Es ist eine Notiz mit diesem Ort, aber ich kann es nicht übersetzen. Ich kann das Dokument per E-Mail, wenn jemand helfen kann.

I found my family living in Striesdorf in the 1819 census. My 4X great grandfather is said to be born in Prehn. I couldn’t find anything online. Has anyone heard of this place? There is a note underneath with additional explanation, but I can’t make it out. I have a copy of the page, so if anyone wants to translate the “notation” I can send that to you.

I found the census page you were looking at, and the words you’re having trouble reading are: Prehn in Schwedisch Pommern.
Now that still doesn’t quite solve your problem. Around 1818, Swedish Pommern would have been the northern part of Vorpommern, including the island of Rugen and the cities of Stralsund and Anklam. You could have gotten a hint by the fact that a few lines down a Born is identified as from Stralsund.
Unfortunately there is no place called Prehn in any of the German place name databases. But looking at the Google map near Stralsund, there is a town called Prohn. I would highly suspect this is your town. The name Born is common in this area (since there’s a town by that name too), and in the Schubert marriage registers you can find Born marriages in Franzburg and Ahrenshagen from 1705-1750. In the 1799 census in Vorpommern a Jacob Christian Born is on the estate Camiz near Franzburg and there’s another Jacob Carl Friedrich Born on the estate at Steinhagen near Franzburg. I’d still start in Prohn first - it’s a very small place so there won’t be much to search in the church books
