Religous Vocations

I have found that a large number of children of Oldenburg immigrants became
members of religious orders in the United States, especially Nuns. I would
assume the same was true of the families before they migrated here.

Is there any source of information in Oldenburg which would contain names of
persons who became Nuns or Priests in the years before 1840?
