Reinecke, basse

I read this rather hurriedly which I shouldn't do.

I think you found the ship passenger list and you know what it says as
   the town they came from.

Sometimes the person has these little notes at the bottom after they
transcribe the ships list. Could the husband have died on the voyage
over. Or got sick and maybe passed in new york or one of the states.
She hSad to marry again, I am sure.

I have gone to Iowa and seen where My Families are buried. I have
always meant to check to see what was done about the death of the
little baby born shortly before the family left in feb for the passage
to america. He died after that. But I believe he was bured in iowa,
Probably calhoun county. I wonder if they died on the ship if they
get an option of keeping the body until they get to shore..... Or they
just don't recover. and are buried shortly somewhere. Instead of
making it to the area of destination.

My Reineck was from Nahrendorf. family names would be

Luhmann, Gehrke, schulz, mueller, Brese,Schulze,Reiss, Seil,
   Bartel,Pagel,Schlaphoff,Meyer, Gremmel,Michael,Ahren, Konecke, wolter,
Werner,Schmidt, Lyssman,Lusmann, meier. These are ,mostly with the
Luhmann branch... a descending branch includes Seil /Soltau families
   of Luben and Bleckede area.,

   not Meyer/ Heins or Meyer/ Schenk. or schultze/ Behrens/Rappaul/

   Villages of Ventschau, lemgrabe,lehstahl, schuschendorf,Neetzendorf,
   Ahndorf, vindorf,Tosterglope, koestorf, bleckede, ,Oldendorf,
nahrendorf, Dubbekold, Barskamp alt garge, few others int his general
   area.

[I still have data to send to a few of you. I will get it done.]

    "possibilities are numerous.
So, these are the people I am looking for:
Maria Sophia Reinecke, born 7 Mar 1812
Her husband, from the death certificate of her son, was Philip Basse.
   The
husband never shows up here, so I assume he died in Germany, but
   maybe not.
She and her son Philip came to America in June of 1854. Sophia
   marries a
   man
named Eilers in October of 1855 in St. Louis. So, since the husband
   isn't
   with
them on the ship and since she marries so soon after getting here...I
   assume
   he never came.
Sophia has two children that I know of:
Sophia Elizabeth Basse born about 1837 and
Heinrich Philip Basse born 21 May 1840
Philip Basse the son is my great grandfather, so finding him is really
   important to me."

   good luck
