Reflections on WW2

Having been born in Canada during WW2, I was personally spared the ravages that were so often seen in Europe. What I do know for sure is what family tradition passed along to me - that my branch of the family were fighting against cousins of the same family who were enlisted in the german army. This may seem to be a figure of speech but it caused our Canadian branch to lose contact with its cousins who were in Gemany and since 1945, no contact has been preserved. It is my personal mission to reconnect this divided family and prove that German people are no different than Canadians in wanting to share their heiritage.
