Recker and Klostermann

Hello to all,

I am trying to find out where my Great Grandmother came from and names of any of her family. She came to the U.S. around 1867 and ended up in Covington, Kentucky. Her name was Anna Angela Catherina Recker her tombstone says:
Ceb' ne 10 Feb. 1848
ZuGrefeen Bie Munster
Westphalen, Deutschland
Cest 14 Nov 1900

I found a Baptismal record for one of her children and it says that Angela was from Greffen prope Waarendorf (it is hard to read the writing..I am not sure it is spelled correctly).

Her husband Franz Antonio Klostermann was from Neuenkirchen prope Damme. Someone on this list was so kind as to find his family records at the Catholic Church in Neuenkirchen but I have not been able to find Angela's family. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Debi,
I think it should be Greffen in Westphalia, easterly of the town Münster, just between Warendorf and Harsewinkel.
The village Greffen is today a part of the small town Harsewinkel. Website: http://www.greffen.de/
The phone directory listed there 5 Recker addresses.
I think LDS has records of the parish St.Johannes Greffen.
