Reading Help

Hi Trevor,
   line
   1. reads "Schmitts" , genitive, old form of Schmieds (= blacksmith's)
   4. reads "Mertz", old spelling of M�rz (march), same line: misreading:
   it' isn't "Fetter", but "Testes" (=witnesses),
   5. It might read "Beck" (more material of the same church register
   would be needed to decide), same line: "dahier,und, Johann"

         (all genitive forms ! )

     ("ihr" = dialectal genitive)
   4 of March and baptized on April 3rd; witnesses (=godfathers) were
   5 Frantz (Beck?) mason, and local parishioner, and Johann
   6 Friedrich Gan�, Johann Nicol(aus) Gan�(en) and local parishioner's
       (genitive forms)
   7 son, furthermore Maria Catharina, Johann
   8 Peter Faber's, local parishioner's spouse
