All I have to go on is a newspaper clipping from Covington, Garfield,
Oklahoma.
It states that John Henry Meyer, born in Fachta, Oldenburg, Germany on Dec
3, 1844 died on
April 7, 1936. At the age of 23 he and his sister came to America
(Baltimore, Maryland).
Then moved to Quincy, Illinois and on to Covington, Oklahoma. He was a
cigar maker by trade and was
confirmed in the Catholic faith at the age of 14.
