I have Bortnstedt-Bohnnenstedt-Bohnstedt, as a direct line. The earliest
ancestor I have been able to find is Johann Christinan(called Christ)
Bornstedt b-ca 1793, confirmed 1807, Clatzow,(now Klatzow) Kr Demmin Vor
Pommern. Married 1820 to Maria Elizabeth Sommer Weltzin Kr Demmin Vor
Pommern. 6 children were born to this union. Many years ago I hired a German
researcher, and he thought Johann Christian Bornstedts parents were:
Friedrich Johann Philip b-1731 d- 1811, and Anna Lucia Thieman d-1792. I
have been unable to confirm this. Do you see any matches. I do have the
childrens names and their husbands. Both Maria and Christian worked for the
