It seems that my *Godfried Koch from Alt Rupin,Brandenberg,Germany
(born 11 Sept 1734)had left Germany for Sri Lanka left on the Ship
"Rosenberg" in 1755,he married **Wilhelmina Magdelene Rovert on 9th
Nov 1760
Gofried died in Jaffna, Northern Province of Sri Lanka(ex Ceylon) in
1811.
*GK and **W M R had three children......
#1.......Petronella Cornelia Koch born 1764 Sri Lanka (she married(in
Sri Lanka) Dirk Busselman from Duren Germany)
#2......Maria Dorothea Elizabeth Koch born 1766Sri Lanka (she married
1, Hendrik Speldewinde in 1780 in Sri lanka ,he died then she married
no 2, Fredrik Gerard De Niese in 1786 in Sri Lanka
#3......Lieutenant Johan Godfried Koch born 1768 Sri Lanka, (he
married Susanna Isabella Brohier in 1795 Sri Lanka.
Do you or does anyone have passenger lists of this ship and where did
it leave from and also where did it dock ??? So many questions lol I
have tried to locate this info but no luck as yet. I also have a
Fredrik Andree of Zelle/Celle(the records in Sri Lanka spell it as
Zelle) who left Germany at this time but I do not know what ship he
left on . Perhap he may be on the same ships list as The Koch family
??
