Hello,
Can anyone tell me about Kellerwald? 51 degrees and 9 degrees
The above description fits to the forest "Kellerwald" near Haina in
Hessen (not in Westfalen)
I may have folks who came from there to the US in 1755. Andrew Keller,
with son Davault Andrew Keller b. 1749 in Germany.
You *may* have folks from there? That is you don't know more than just
Germany yet?
Keller is a common surname (over 30000 families) in Germany. There is no
reason to assume that they all came out of this particular forest. And
there is no reason to assume that the forest was named after a (wo)man
named Keller (Keller just means Cellar).
I'm afraid you're on the wrong track. Have you had a closer look at the
FAQ on http://www.genealogy.com already?
Good luck!
