I thought the original notification to update names, addresses, occupations,
telephone numbers was a private notice from a lister.
I want to stay on the Hannover genealogy list.

It appears whatever that initial message was turns out to be an elaborate trick to get everyone to respond w/surnames on the list -- myself included it seems.
