I have a friend here in St. Louis, on his mothers side is descendent of surname Karhof/Karhoff.
Wonder if Kahrhoff is version?
My friend tells me his Karhoff family catholic.
Seems like I have run across surname Karhoff online at :

unable to locate Karhoff at the moment. I do think that name is there somewhere though. Might have to look through all listed extractions to find.
