Thank you so much for writing. I have been told about the split but all I
have to go on are old census records from my great, great, grandfather where
he states he was born in Schwerin, Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. Maybe it
would be better if I only searched Schwerin, Mecklenburg.
As far as the LDS center, I have visited 1 & plan on going back. They have
told me that I need to know the parish where he was born & all I have is
what I've told you. I hope that I can find his past in Germany & who his
parents & siblings were.
