Re: Hannover-L Nachrichtensammlung, Band 28, Eint rag 7

Does anyone have a Wilhelm Boesenberg, born on Nov.11, possibly in 1850, in
Hannover-City,Germany, or nearby in his research? He had at least 1 brother:
August, who ran a printing business in Brunswick (Braunschweig) and 1 sister
Marie (or Mary) who emigrated to the US. Who knows anything about the original
place of the Boesenbergs, if there were more brothers and sisters and how to
find Marie (Mary) Boesenberg in the US? She probably left Germany around
1870. I would be very grateful for any information under this list or
to_LoliNettling@aol.com_ (mailto:toLoliNettling@aol.com) or _sainet@t-online.de_

Hello Loretta,

There are many Marie/Mary Bosenbergs in the US census records, but none of
them appear to be single/unmarried. Do you have a husband for Marie?

Hi Loretta:

At the following URL : http://www.castlegarden.org/search.php

I find the following for Marie:

Name Occupation Age Date of arrival From and Ship

Marie Boesenberg Unknown 18 F 28 Sep 1882 Prussia Nuernberg
Marie Boesenberg Farmer 25 F 17 Sep 1883 Germany Oder

The first was born about 1864, the second about 1858.

In the following URL, I find three Bsenberg's, all with the same application number for emmigration. This does not mean they emmigrated. It indicates they were from Hannover City.

Bsenberg, August Hermann Friedrich 12054

Bsenberg, Marie Dorothee Louise 12054

Bsenberg, Wilhelm Heinrich 12054

Remember that you should search for both Boesenberg and Bsenberg. When you remove the umlaut you should add the e.

There are others on the list who will be able to tell you how to get more information out of the staatsarchive.
