I'm shocked at this information! What becomes of the remains
of the bodies of my ancestors who were buried in German cemeteries 100 years
ago?
Were they buried in caskets? I didn't know graves were used over again.
Please explain more about this.

Yes this is true, the first time I heard of this was from my daughter in-law
who is German and we visited several German Cemeteries while
visiting in Germany. Her family cemetery is just a small plot with
urns in placed in the ground with a plaque on top The grounds are
immaculate and beautiful. Here are some websites explaining this.
