You should look for Metzer, Schlachter, Fleischer = butcher
Familyname Baker in German: Bäcker, Becker, Beker

Are marriages, births etc available for Herford? 1872

On Arthurs marriage certificate in 1910 in Australia he states his father is William Henry Baker (a butcher), and his mother unknown.
His request for naturalisation says born 17 September 1872 in Herford Germany.
