I've the following dates:
Ernst Buldhaupt, born Aug 8, 1838 in Holte (county of Osnabr�ck), died July 7, 1918 in Iowa, buried at Richfield Cemetery, Fayette Co., Iowa.
His parents are said to have been the couple Buldhaupt/Probst but I don't have any further information about his parents.
Ernst Buldhaupt married Katharina Maria Wefel Oct 1, 1865 in Grant County, Wisconsin.
Katharina Maria Wefel was born Mar 20, 1843 in Krevinghausen, parish of Schledehausen, county of Osnabr�ck, and died Nov 7, 1912 in Iowa. Her parents are Wilhelm Wefel and Dorothea Laumann.
Now comes the clue: Wilhelm Wefel's brother Hermann Heinrich was the owner of the Probst farm in Darum, parish of Belm. So he was named Probst - and he is my ancestor so that's why I've information about the Buldhaupt couple.
I would like to have more information about Ernst Buldhaupt's parents for I would love to know if there's a connection to the Probst family of Darum. I've two daughters of Hermann Heinrich Wefel named Probst of whom I just know the birth dates:
Katharine Marie Probst, born Dec 23, 1803 in Darum
Katharine Elisabeth Probst, born Apr 24, 1805 in Darum.
Both were still living in 1838 when their father died. Two brothers and one sister emigrated to the USA. One brother died 1861 in Lancaster, Grant County, Wisconsin!
Ernst Buldhaupt and Katharina Maria Wefel hat 10 children - at least three of them died in childhood.
