I am researching in Canada and Maine, the name Bauermeister from Hanover to
England and then to New Brunswick and Maine. Heinrich Bauermeister was said
to have been born about 1785 in Norgatton (suggested by list - Nordgoltern)
Hannover.
He joined the King's German Legion in 1804 and ended up in England, where he
joined the Royal West India Rangers. The unit went from the Caribbean to New
Brunswick Canada for disbandment (and free land) in 1819. I have alot of
info on decendents but No ancestors of his. They are now called Bowmaster.
