Re: August Hattorff

Hi Rena

My God! Thats it, you have made a hit. I thank you so much, i was trying to
search some of those internet sites but sometimes i have problems to find the
right link.

Now that i know in which town he is born it should be no problem to look in
the Staatsarchive in Hannover for the microfiches of the churchbooks of
Schoningen, than i should find the name of his father, i know around the year when
he was born.

He died in Memsen/Hoya today Hoyershagen February 2, 1838 in the age of 59
years, so i have now the best hope to find him.

Thank you so much, this is like chrismas today!!!

My best to you

Armin

That's a royal score all right. Never underestimate British intelligence! They cracked the Enigma code you know. lol

Just thank your lucky stars he was in the King's German Legion. If it had been the Bohemian Peasants' Brigade, she might not have looked.

Nice find Rena. Jb

Hello Armin,

the microfiches of the churchbooks of Schoningen (near Uslar) and Hoyershagen are not in the Staatsarchiv in Hannover but in the Kirchenbuchamt in Hannover:
www.kirche-Hannover.de/kirchenbuchamt/
