meinen Computer hatte wohl auch ein Virus erwischt, ich war tagelang außen
vor.
Das war das erste Mal (seit Beginn im Jan. 2001), dass ich solche Probleme
hatte. Bitte gebt doch einfache Tipps, die vielleicht helfen könnten, so
etwas zu vermeiden. Mein Sohn, der ein Dipl. Informatiker ist, hat jetzt Aol
7 installiert, aber erklären kann er mir alles nur als Fachmann, und das
fällt mir schwer zu begreifen.
Hilfreich kann ich vielleicht für einige Leute sein, die in Rawitsch suchen.
Ich habe den ältesten Film von dort eingesehen (der zweitälteste ist
bestellt).

Meine Oma Maria Birke ist bereits 1917 nach Baden gezogen und die Vorfahren
von ihrer Seite sind die, �ber Die ich am wenigsten weiss.
Hast Du selbst Birkes in Deiner Verwandtschaft? Wenn ja, kannst Du mal
nachschauen, ob eine Verbindung gibt. Ich schicke Dir hierzu alles was ich

I. Carl Wilhelm August BIRKE; mainly known as Wilhelm was born on 8.1.1824
at Friedland (b. Breslau), Schlesien, Germany. He was Roman Catholic. He was
Brewery leaseholder and brewery owner. He married Berta J�KISCH on 8.1.1854
at Gr�ditz, Schlesien, Germany. He died on 28.9.1866 at Gr�ditz, Schlesien,
Germany, at age 42.
A. Paul BIRKE was born on 27.8.1857 at Gr�ditz, Schlesien, Germany. He was
Roman Catholic. He was He was a brewery owner [Brauereibesitzer]. In Nov.
1904, he installed electricity in his house. He was the very first one in
the village who had this new technology and invited all friends, relatives
and business partners to a hunting party and after that to a big dinner in
order to celebrate the electric light. It was a well planned event because
especially for this party he wrote a song about having electricity now.
There is still a copy of the lyrics showing his hand writing. He married
Anna HEIN, daughter of Hermann HEIN and Maria SCHOLZ, on 17.7.1886 at
Gr�ditz, Schlesien, Germany; The marriage year is not clear. Reiner Eitels
records only show 188 as the year. He died on 25.11.1937 at Gr�ditz,
Schlesien, Germany, at age 80.

Manfred EITEL, son of Christian EITEL and Elisabetha KAUFMANN, on 16.3.1917
at Gr�ditz, Schlesien, Germany; The two first met in 1912 or 1913 at the
Kaiser Maneuver (a big military exercise) that was held in Schlesien at that
time. As a young officer Manfred was quartered in the house of Maria Birke�s
family in Gr�ditz. They got engaged in 1915. She died on 9.9.1964 at Haslach
i.K., Germany, at age 74; Cancer. She was buried on 12.9.1964 at Haslach
i.K., Baden-W�rttemberg, Germany.

Paul Manfred Eitel. About 1962 Christian bought a collapsible canoe. Right
after buying it, Bruno and Christian assembled the canoe in Christians
living room and christened it "Kinzig" by drinking a bottle of Champaign
instead of spilling it over the boat. 30 years later Christian�s son Joachim
Eitel took the boat to Canada and did lots of trips on the lakes in Ontario.
He was buried in .11.1972 at Leverkusen, Germany. He died on 9.11.1972 at
Haslach i.K., Germany, at age 77.
