The following is what I know.

Albert R�TER (full name shown on the following documents:
1850-declaration of intent Lafayette County MO
1859-record of naturalization Ray County MO
1860-US census record (name appears Albert RYTER) with wife and 4
children
            Mary-age 6 date of birth from death record

9/27/1855

            Anna-age 3 date of birth from death record

2/8/1855

            Henry-age 2 date of birth from baptism,

confirmation &

death record 4/10/1858
            Philipina-age 4 months birth from death record

3/8/1860

Married second wife Elenora Vogt Aug. 14 1862 from marriage record
Albert enlisted Civil War 1864-Co. F all records from pension board.
1870 US census records show name as Albert Reiter with wife Elenor

and

4 children as well as 2 Vogt children.
             Mary-14 years
             Ann-13years
             John-12years
             Bena-10years
             Vogt Caroline 16 years
                     Edith 10 years

A letter written by Albert R�TER to the US pension board in 1887

tells of the arrival date to the US 1847 he said he lived in Toledo Ohio for one year and Dayton Ohio for one year in 1850 he went to Lafayette county MO and left from there to California to pan for gold and returned to Ray county MO in the spring of 1853 were he settled and lived out his life. All records show only that Albert R�TER came from Hannover Germany.

Affidavit from neighbor to US pension board that Albert was married
(no name given) before Elenora and Elenora had been married to

Ernst Vogt both spouses were deceased.
  

What I don't have as is:

   Port of departure, port of arrival, marriage

record for Albert and Christina, or if he had any siblings. There is no death record for Albert, Christina or Elenora.
   
  I am in hopes that someone might be also researching this person or reganize some of the information and might be able to help me brake through this wall.
