Hallo,

I recently subscribed to this list serve to see if I could find anything
about people with the surname of Fritzler that lived in Prussia. My ancestors
lived in southern Germany and eventually moved to the Volga area of Russia.

My question is: Are all of the messages on this list serve always in German
or do some people sometimes communicate in English? Although I am of German
ancestry I do not read the German language very well and I do not write the
German language at all.

Hello Myron,

Ditto for me! You'll be glad to know however that most of the Germans out there can read English so you'll probably get a response. So far I've gleaned some good info from the list, but I can read German reasonably OK.

If you really want a good group to correspond with (and in English) See http://www.sggee.org/listserv they are terrific!

Also, their focus is in the area that you are interested in, as am I. If you want access to a fabulous data base and maps you may consider joining. Its $30 a year and well worth it.
