Did the package you were sent include source documentatoin and/or photo
copies of data?

Did the package refer to any unknown data sources that reference any of your
known ancestors?

The woman who did the research did not send me her personal address in
Germany as to send the payment to, but rather I am to remit payment back to the
church.

The package did include source documentation, but no photocopies of the
data.

It also did include references to most of my ancestors as well as some new
ones.

This is legitimate, as I did not have most of this info up on the internet.
It also came with pamphlets about the church, and it came in a church
envelope.

I agree, that it is a bargain a) because I have some issues reading the
prussian language despite taking 4 years of German Language AND studying the
prussian language b) it is quite an extensive history which the researcher sent
over and I just don't have that expertise

I plan on writing the researcher to find out where she acquired my name.

I did, many months ago, contact a relative in Germany who is part of this
family. Perhaps she gave them my address? But I still didn't request the
research to be done.

In any event, I'll keep everyone abreast of the situation.
