Question for American list members: pictures of "frontier" families

Hi to all American members,

I´m writing my diploma thesis with the topic "Families of the Frontier". I´d like to know if any of you have photographs of that time, showing children, women and houses (inside and outside). If you do have pictures: would you be willing to mail me a picture so I could insert it in my paper? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Also, check out the names of our ancestors at: freenet Webhosting - Die All-in-One Lösung für Ihre eigene Website - freenet.de
Please use my private e-mail address to respond to this message. Thank you very much.

Yours,

Kerstin (Martens)

I dont know if these are of interest. I found out that my ancestor, Friedrich Busse is listed at answers.com, wikipedia, etc for founding the town I grew up in. My relatives, the Busse's and Kirchhoff's have hiways and forests named after them in Illinois.

Oh I noticed your last name, some Martens married into the Kirchhoff family also.
