Question about Royal Monogram from 1745

Hello,
I have a Chinese export-plate from 1745 with a royal monogram: the letters
are G A K
A picture of the plate can be seen at:

According to one source the monogram is that of George II of England, but I
doubt that. On the other hand gis name was Georg Augustus and he married
Karoline. That gives the letters GAK. The problem is only that Karoline
died several years earlier than the manufacture of the plate.

One thing is sure: the plate belongs to a large service that was part of
the cargo of the Swedish ship Gotheborg that sunk 1745. So the date of
manufacture should be 1744.

But who is the royal person or persons. It is a royal crown, isn't it?

Thank you in advance
