I see you have a 'Martens' in your closet.
I am related to a Lutheran Martens family from Mecklenburg but I have not
been able to locate the village. The church and immigration records only say
Mecklenburg. The family first settled near Buffalo or Niagara Co., NY and
moved to Rochester after a few years. I sure would like to know where the
family lived in Europe.
