Porth's Himbergen Uelzen book gave me more family tree found in Wisconsin

I am pleased to say I have found a family connection from Reedsburg settelment in Wisconsin.! I have not reached Mr. Behmke yet.

My Jurgen Friedrich MEYER had a brother also born in Neetzendorf. Heinrich Jurgen Meyer Born 1817. He married Catharina Elisabeth RAETZMANN of Weste, Uelzen. page 285. She had also married LIETZ [ 2778]. Page 285 gives Numbers 4196-4199 of family Ratzmann.

His was indirect to the grandfather Johann Christian Ratzmann, born *1738 who died + 1791 Weste. He was married to Catharina Margretha SIEGEL of Weste. 1743 - 1817. They had ten children at Weste.
I still have this future unknown of the daughter of my gr gr uncle that is Catharina Elisabeth Meyer born *23.2.1845. So far this new tree does not have any of my Meyer mentioned. But he has many Meyer and Meier..

I have always ignored Oetzendorf. His Ratzman connection is through His Meyer from Oetzendorf.
Diersen, Kaiser, Hilmer,Behn[cke],Schulz [variations]
Other villages are Gross Thondorf,Bevensen,Suttorf,Romstedt, Roebbel, Molzen, Moltzen,Barum[ was mispelled] Kirchweyhe, Westerweyhe and others.

I know he has others that I have seen in the book, which I will check on later. They may lead to the other family in Reedsburg and Loganville that went to Nebraska and other areas. [That tree states Meyer, Burmeister, Behn of Oldendorf and Nohrendorf.]

And He had BORGSCHATZ, QUAST, DIERCKS, which I am almost sure lead to Stehr, BANNITT or Bandit[spelled wrong], Metta Quast and, Stehr, Bannitt and Luhmann= JONAS OF DAHLENBURG TREE = [ also Nicole Anderson tree with work of Goodhue and this leads to Rainer Strauss, Engel, Egger].... And there are some others who have same trees also. You know I have often mentioned Goodhue, Minnesota. [ He has also has Hastings].

I noticed someone I looked at while looking at his has Meyer in Washington. I have been looking in Oregon with no luck.

By looking at the cemeteries many years ago, I knew that this area of Reedsburg was settled by our area of Hannover. It was one of the earliest and a colony by another name. Like the one in Iowa. From villages mentioned above and others not mentioned.

I was checking on something for a friend. and I that saw something like Weste that I knew was Weste. But it was spelled wrong. I also think he spelled Klein Hesebeck wrong. I think I have checked him before but had names that did not ring any bells. And I did not look anything up in that book, which is a gift from God.[aka Heinrich Porth] I wished I could afford to get all of his books. Especially his new one.

I am not faulting him for mispelling. Because it is often in the records that way. I started out saying my family was from Oldenburg. and It should have been Oldendorf. I thought Nahrendorf was Nuhrenburg. Big difference.

I hoped I helped someone get some clues, if they suspect immigration to Wisconsin, and Mn.
Mr Behmke, if you are a list member email me.

Hello Jo Meyer;

I noted with interest your mention of Reedsburg and Loganville in your
last email to the Hannover List.

I have been searching for the home village of a Heinrich HEISER(my gr gr
grandfather) who lived south of Loganville. I know he came from
Hannover(Kingdom) in the 1800's, was Lutheran, and came to Wisconsin as a
result of a bounty land warrant he received for serving as a Marine in the
Mexican War. Exhaustive search of marriage records, death records, pension
file, etc. reveals only Hannover, or Prussia, or Germany.

Heinrich Heiser lists his parents as Henry & Maria Heiser on his marriage
record from 1854 in Sauk County. When you have time, could you look in
your Porth-Uelzen book to see if HEISER is listed in it? Thank you,
Phyllis Dearborn
