Polle=Brevorde research

I would like to find family of my great great grandfather, Christian Ostermann. He was born 4-1-1813. somewhere around Herzogtum. He married (Justine) Sophie Conradine Amalie Bennefeld in Polle, approx 1844. I would like to find information on either one of these familys. Christian worked in a mill in Brevorde, before he left for the USA with his family, and His two sisters Wilhelmina and Caroline.

He may also have a sister Charlotta Ostermann Mueller, who married a Fred Mueller. She was born 2-6-1815.

Thank you.

Dear J C,
I think I may be able to help. Here is what Ancestry.com has.

Arrival in New York on April 29, 1863 on the ship "New York." Home listed as "Breoorde" a pretty obvious mis-spelling of Brevorde.
Christ Ostermann male 45 farmer
Justina female 44
Frederic male 25 farmer
Christian male 18
--- Conrad male 14
William male 9
Henry male 7
August male 5
Wilhelmina female 9 mo.
Carolina female 54
Wilhelmina female 50

By the way, "Herzog" means duke and "Herzogtum" means a dukedom or duchy. You need to know which "herzogtum" tou're talking about, but Brevorde was a great clue.

Happy hunting,

Polle Church books are printed and published last two years.

How would I be able to see a copy of this Polle Church book?
