Planning trip to Oldenburg April 5 to April 10 2008

My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Germany. We spent a couple of days in Holdorf (Oldenburg). We later traveled through many other areas of Germany. It is an incredibly beautiful country. We feel blessed that our trip was so enriched by being members of this list. Over the years we've received a lot of advice and information. It made the trip so meaningful. Is your wife concerned about travel in general or traveling overseas specifically? I think your biggest problem will be a lack of time.

Hello Hans,

I really know very little German. I would like to learn of course. I use
http://www.google.com/language_tools to help with my translation. Your
suggestions and links are most helpful and I have looked at them and have
come to a better understanding of what will be my best chances of finding
more about my ancestors. My wife is currently not so excited about making
this trip in April. I am keeping my hopes up however that we will be able
to go to Germany.

I also translated the news article about Robert Brockmann. That was
interesting. It is very possible that in that same area of Westerholt are
more chances of having relatives there.
