Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can go about finding the addresses
of the local Lutheran Parishes in the towns of Oberhaferbeck and
Diersbuetten? I have tried the main church office in Hannover, but wasn't successful. I
received a response indicating they wouldn't have the information. Thanks.

Kevin,
I believe the spelling of the villages that you are interested in are
Oberhaverbeck and Diersb�ttel or its equivalent Diersbuettel.
Oberhaverbeck is in the middle of the Natuschutzpark L�neburger Heide, a
very pretty natural park located about 20 miles/32 km west of the small city
of L�neburg. Oberhaverbeck does not its own parish and it is difficult to
tell the location of its parish. The three closest parishes appear to be
Undeloh, about 5 miles/8 km to the north, Bispingen, about 5 miles/8 km to
the southeast and Schneverdingen, about 6 miles/9.6 km to the west. My best
guess would be Undeloh followed by Bispingen.
Diersb�ttel is located about 3 miles/4.8 km southeast of Amelinghausen and
the latter is probably the parish seat.

Hello Kevin,
I have obtained church addresses before by finding an email address
from a webpage in the town. I did a Google search for the towns you are
interested in. There is a wonderful website for Oberhaverveck and
neighboring towns with a map:

You might look around that website and find an email address and someone
might answer and give you the address for the church. Even a hotel may
respond with the address.

You will find today the people of Overhaverbeck under www.telefonbuch.de among
those of the place of Bispingen. In an elder directory (1995) there were four
adresses BERGMANN and about eight WITTHOEFT. The people of Diersb�ttel can be
found under Rehlingen, but no entry for one of your names existed there then.
