I am looking for any information on OSCAR CHARLES & ELIZA JANE DIETRICH who lived in Hannover from about 1874. I have reeason
to believe they had died by 1927. Any information however small would be very much appreciated. Failing that
where could I possibly begin a search.

You are talking about the proverbable needle in the haystack. My first
question is: was their deaths in the US or German haystack. If they
made it to the States, I could come up with quite a few places to
look. However, I am not familiar with any general sorces of German
information which would help you search in Hannover.
You have two definations for Hannover: The Kingdom of Hannover and the
City of Hannover. I think that officially that the KOH ceased to exist
in 1871. However, that does/did not stop people from making reference
to it. There may be death records available for Hannover, but even
then, that would be quite a search. You do have it limited to 1927, or
do you? I note that you said they died by 1927. Your date range might
be larger. There may be German list members who can help you there.
First you should let the list know where they died.
I am assuming that you are living in the States and the Dietrich's are
your ancestors. That means that someone in your family came to the
U.S. It is with those people you need to start your search. It may
very well lead to the town where the Dietrich's lived. I can give you
several hints there.
