I am looking for the location of Ortsippenbush, Germany.
So far, I have traced my ancestors back to the early 1700's in Frohnhausen and Natzungen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany but have received information that my Wiemers line can be traced further back in this town.
I am specifically looking for Johann Bernard Wiemers and his parents. My Johann Bernard Wiemers was born about 1711 and the first record I find of him is in Frohnhausen, Westpahlia, Germany. He married Anna Maria Lancken (or Sancken) at St. Bartholomaus Catholic Church in 1739. Johann and his wife died in Frohnhausen in 1776 and 1785 respectively.
Their son, and my direct ancestor, Johann Bernard Wiemers, married Eva Maria Hagemann about 1775 and lived in Frohnhausen. This Johann Bernard Wiemers died in 1794 and Eva Maria Hagemann died in 1819.
From here the family line moves to Natzungen. Their son Friedrich Wilhelm Wiemers married Maria Catherine Gertrud Scholle in Natzungen (St. Nikolaus Catholic Church) in 1812 and they lived their lives in Natzungen.
If anyone can assist with information on how I can find this town and identify
earlier generations of my family I would appreciate it.
Also I am wondering if anyone knows how I can find a copy of "Natzungen und Seine
Einwohner in den Letzten Dreihundert Jahren 1953" I would really appreciate it. This
book holds history that would be very beneficial to my search.
Thank you for any assistance. Kathy Montelaro
