Dr Pagenstert established that Johann Luers had leasing rights over
(presumably once his own) land of 31 ha at Varnhuesen .There is no doubt
that this very Catholic family
farmed in Varnhuesen already caA D 1000 They were one of the original 7 or
8 families which constituted the population of Varnhuesen /Hogenboegen . For
what it is worth I have (1) an (Arnold Hein John Pundsack born1752 in
Hogenboegen marry Johanna Maria lLers in1775-84.Their children were...
(2) children are Franz Luers b 1780-90 Hogenboegen who was the Bauernvogt
(sort of rural land inspector) married to Margharetha Frese ca 1810 at
Hogenboegen producing Johann Henrich Luers born 1814at Hogenboegen The
Freses are a local "UR family" going back to at least the 1400 s also
Johannes Henricus Luers born30 May1775died b4 1778 and (3) another Johannes
Henricus Luers born11Jan 1778 who died 1871 in Hogenboegen .. All of this
probably places the searched Mr Luers in the Visbeck area .
Has anybody got any information about a marriage of a certain Anna Catharina
Punt about 1701 probably in the Langfoerden area with an unknown Ahlers .
producing Theodor Henrich Ahlers on 22Mar1702 ?
