Oldenburg question

Hallo Karen,

I don't know, what the "Unt" means, but the Oldenburg in Oldenburg (now in Niedersachsen) was never in Prussia (Preussen). The state of Oldenburg was a Grossherzogtum and independent of Preussen.
In Preussen there were several Oldenburgs: one is Oldenburg in Holstein, an other (little) is now part of the city of Ahaus (in Westfalen near Muenster), a third (little too) is in Vorpommern between the citys of Anklam and Greifswald, a fourth (little too) is now part of Marienmünster (near the city of Hoexter in Westfalen).
Sorry, that's all, what I can tell you.
Greetings, Wilfried
