Hi there! I saw your e-mail on a mail-archive message
board and thought you might be able to help me. I'm
trying to find any information about my ancestors who
came from Hagen, Hanover (Germany). It's just a few
miles directly southwest of Osnabruck. They were
Wilhelm Johan Witte b. abt 1817 and wife Katharina
Willer b. October 1, 1819.
Their children (that I know of) born in Hagen:
Elisabeth Witte b. January 8, 1840
John Henry (Johan Heinrich) Witte b. abt 1844
They immigrated to America in 1845 and settled in
Cincinnati.
If you can't help me, do you know anyone who might be
able to? Thanks for your help!
