Dear all!
I just received an e- mail from father D. Hoying, stating that he is related to the Macke/Brörmann family of Damme. Johann Heinrich (Joan Henrich)Macke (b. 1804 in Damme, died 1861) and Maria Agnes (kleine or Herm-Dirk) Brörmann (b. 1803 in Damme. Johann Heinrich and Maria Agnes are my great-great-great-great grandparents..
I knew that a certain Franz Macke (also called kleine Brörmann, b. 1833) married in 1857 and emigrated to th US at a later stage. It now appears that 2 of his brothers (Herman and Friedrich) emigrated as well. All 3 went to the state of OHIO.
This means that I finally have some conclusieve evidence about my American relatives.
