I think now is it clear the place "ex loco Kruikendal" should be the big ranch and place Kuykendall on the road north of Houston.
Thank you also for the link to Hays county (http://landmark.granbury.com/hays.htm), there I found also the Kuykendall Cemetery, and for the link to the history of the Kuykendall Ranch (http://www.buda.lib.tx.us/H29KuykendallRanch2.html).
I assume, the origin of the Kuykendal family is Belgium.
The marriage town Frelsburg is located more to west. The next towns are Oldenburg, New Ulm, Columbus, Weimar and others, I think it is area with early German settlers.
