Hi Werner,
My guess is that Kruikendal is really Kuykendall. The town of Frelsburg,
Texas is near Columbus, which was first settled by Robert and James
Kuykendall. See
Perhaps the married couple lived on the Kuykendall ranch or some small
community named after them. The Diocese of Galveston comprised the west half
of Texas at that time.
