Sorry, I have no info on your Henry Niehaus. In my digging in records in Cincinnati I found several Henry Niehaus names,
My Ggrandfather Henry Johann Joseph NIEHAUS was born 20 June 1845 in Neuenkirchen, Damme, Oldenburg, emigrated to US and Cincinnati 2 November 1866, married Elisabeth (Lisette) Ferneding 16 Nov. 1869, died 14 March 1895 in Cincinnati. After Lisette died at 38 leaving five young children on 19 June 1882, Henry remarried, to Elisabeth Summer in 1884.
Do you have your Henry's birthplace in the German States? Often the death notices published in the newspapers, particularly German language papers listed towns of origin. Your email heading lists BOEDEKER, Oldenburg. That was the surname of Anna Maria Elisabeth Boedeker, my GGgrandmother, and my Henry's mother, b 1/14/1827, d about 1890, Neuenkirchen. Her parents were Johann Bernard Boedeker and Maria Elisabeth Klotte, Coloni from Bieste, Oldenburg.
