[OL]Help Heckman and Augustus

Werner,
Good to hear from you again. I hope things are going well.
At this point, we keep going back and forth between Vetchta, Visbek and
Bakum. I know, they are really far apart. They are just theories.
This is what we know. We have a Henry Heckmann who swore
allegiance to the Augustus man.
I received this a day or so ago. And I am going crazy! His date
fits some information that I received a while ago.
Lorrie, Noticed you are researching Heckman name. My Mercer Co.OH.
newsletter came today & among those who filed naturalization papers in
Mercer Co. were:
20 Nov. 1837 Diederick Henry HECKMAN age 33 Native of Oldenburf-arrived
Baltimore(no yr. given) Had allegiance to Paul Frederick Augustus of
Oldenburg-intention filed Mercer Co.OH. Don't know if this has any
connection to your Heckmans, but was worth an email to you.
This is what I had a while ago.

This was a response to a question I had when I recieved
information that was a distant relative and a researcher as well.
Lorrie,
Using the LDS 1880 census, I find almost exactly the same
information with the following exceptions. Film T9-0993, page 426B,
Jackson
Twp., Auglaize Co., OH.
Clemes (M) instead of Clemens (F), Josephin instead of Josephine, Carlin
instead of Caroline. Clemens and absent wife born in OLD (Oldenburg, one
of
the German states). All children born in OH. Henry and Mary Anne born
in
OLD as were their parents.
It would appear that Henry and Mary Anne Heckman along with son
Clemens and a young wife immigrated to the US with a first child being
born
in 1857. The wife died within the last three years. No other Heckman's
in
Auglaize Co.
Going back to Darke Co., I find George Heckman, b. OH with
parents
b. in PA, and Joseph Heckman, b. OH with parents b. in OH, of similar age
to
Clemens. Suggest the Clemens family in Auglaize is not related to those
in
Darke.
