I just found a good site for finding places in Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony),
of course including Oldenburg:
This is the site of the Niedersachsen Survey, and they offer a place search.
Just click 'Ort suchen' (=search for place), click on the place you want in
the window that opens, and you will see a map with your place.
You can also click on 'vergr��ern' (= enlarge) or 'zentrieren' (= center).
