A great thank-you to Barbara, Frances, Frans, Gary and Bryan,

it is summarizing to assume that the couple John Jacobi and Catherine Sittig lived on the Kuykendall ranch in Texas or a place called Kuyckendahl Springs TX 77379 (Frans Scheve Netherland).

Can anyone tell where Kuckendahl is located in Texas, I can't find it.

Hi Werner,
     I found a Kuykendahl Road in Texas which runs diagonally from I-45
North of Houston somewhere between Spring and Tomball, Texas (in Harris
county). If you go to Mapquest.com and do a search for Kuykendahl Road,
Spring Texas, it will produce 10 matches ( all of which show that road in
various places, I presume). I will try to do some more in depth research
in Texas itself. The hard part is all the variations of spelling for
Kuykendahl!

According to the GNIS, Kuykendall Ranch is near Mountain City in Hays County
Texas. San Marcus TX is more well known.

There is a Spring TX 77379 about 25 miles north of Houston.

I am familiar with Kuykendahl Road located north of Houston, but not with the town by that name. Kuykendahl Ranch may no longer be in existence, but it was located in Hays County, TX, at Latitude 30 03 04N, Longitude 97 59 11W (from MapTech.com). This area of TX is rich in German heritage.

http://landmark.granbury.com/hays.htm Click on Kunkendall Ranch then go to
"Show feature Location." You will find maps where it is. It is in Hays
County, Texas which I guess is in and around Houston.
