Hello group,
Has anyone done extensive research in Damme? Looking for a fellow
researcher who has extensive knowledge of Damme and can assist me in further research
in on the Mormann, Robke, Handorf surnames. Most of my earlier research
concentrated on Lohne, but I have a few loose ends I'd like to review again in
Damme. I first reviewed the Damme records about 10 years ago, when I first
started out, so chances are I have overlooked some clues.
My research (direct ancestors):
Johan Bernard Mormann b. 7 March 1803, son of John Bernard Mormann and
Catharina Adelheid ROBKE. I believe, but not sure, this is the father of my
Johan Bernard Mormann. The birth date of the elder Johan Bernard Mormann I have
is 2 July 1751, but again I'm not sure if this is the correct Johan Bernard
Mormann.
Catharina Adelheid Robke was born 8 Dec 1761, daughter of John Robke and
Margaretha Elizabeth Handorf. I have no further information about the parents
other than the wedding date of 16 Nov 1755 in Damme.
