Thank you for you email. My g grand father had 4 sisters, Maria Catherina, Bernardina, Elisabeth and Mary Anna. Maria Catharina married George Beitman, Bernardina married Francis Lohman and then John Donner. Elisabeth married Frederich Morgan who stayed on in New Alsace, Indiana as a shoemaker for some time. Mary Anna married John Polking. They lived in Lancaster, Ohio for a while and then in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. The Morgans also moved to Lawrenceburg. I do not have any information on the other daughters.
I would really like to get more information on the Barhorsts and the Borgerdings in Minster. I have no doubt we are connected somewhere back in the Holdorf area. What is the name of the Borgerding who married the Barhorst?
I have a book on Holdorf's 800th anniversary. There is a tax list that has the Borgerding farm listed in the early 1500s. The only problem is that it's in German. There is a Burhorst farm in the Ihorst group in a 1789 map along with the Borgerdings, the Fernedings and the Sives.
