[OL]Bad Zwischenahn & Elmendorf ancestors

Hello list,
Is anyone on this list familier with the surnames Benjegerdes (Bengardes) and Oeltjen who came from Bad Zwischenahn and Elmendorf area. My ancestors from there came to United States in 1842. What Lutheran churches are in this area? I hope someone can help me.

I hope to travel to that area Germany in a year or two. Would like to get more information before I go to research there.

I don't have any information for you, but wanted to say "hi." I have distant cousins in Bad Zwischenahn. My Stulkens were from Gristede, which is nearby. I was able to discover the origins of my Stulkens because my dad's cousin gave me some old letters (1920s)
from Bad Zwischenahn.
