[OL]A question about Cloppenburg church microfilms

Yesterday at the FHC, I viewed 0896276, which is a film with
Cloppenburg church records, Taufen, Heiraten & Tote from 1808-1843.
As I looked at the film, I "thought" I saw that these records were St.
Andreas records. My Darenkamp family attended St. Andreas Church.

I have a letter from them from 1991 in which they give me the date of
baptism for my great-grandmother Bernardine Elisabeth Darenkamp and
her sisters and brothers. My great-grandmother's birth and baptism
date were in May 1841. It was not where it was supposed to be on this
film.

I am wondering if this might be the reason why I have been so unlucky
trying to find the baptism of her grandfather, Johann Heinrich
Darenkamp, whose burial record indicates that he was born in 1759.

I have used these Cloppenburg films (0909936, 0896276, 77 & 78) many
times. I have found many, many records pertaining to the family on the
film, but never the baptism of her grandfather in 1759 and now not her
baptism, either.

Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks, Buffy

Hi Buffy,

I was very intrigued by your email. I was unaware that it was possible to
obtain mirco fiche (film) from Cloppenburg st. Andreas church. I am very
much interested in obtaining such a fiche. Could you please help me in
sharing the address where I can order such a fische? I live in the
Netherlands and the drive to Vechta in lengthy. It would save me a lot of
time if I could obtain the fiche.

I hope you can help me.
Regards,
Sebastian Hulshoff.

Hi, Mr. Hulshoff,

I cant tell you where to get the mikrofiches of St.
