Yes, its a hoot about the taking of the name. Took me years to even find my
family across the pond because of this. Oh well, we learn. And I'd have never
known of or understood it but for kind listers such as yourself.

While "my" Oelrich might not be one of yours, you might want to keep her name
in the "possibles" category. "Auf der Heyde" means of the "heather or heath"
... this geology was prevalent in in the southern part of what was then
Hannover, but also in the southeast part of what was then Westfalia.
